ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) in Hopkinton, MA seeks a software engineer to develop robotic software, IoT interfaces, and Open Apps-based applications for equipment.

You will join a collaborative team, work with C++, C#, and Windows GUI, and contribute to product design and testing; on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2-4 years of experience.
• Experience with C++ and C#.
• Experience with structured design techniques.
• Experience working as a member of a software project team.
• WPF and Visual Studio, source control and/or installation package experience a plus.
• Experience using Object Oriented design methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of machine control software and Windows based GUI design.
• Familiarity with State Machine programming.
• Knowledge of Automated Testing.
• Basic knowledge of I/O systems and how they interact with software.
• Knowledge of closed loop systems and PID control.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develops software operating and control systems for complex robotic equipment
• Develops software interfaces to support IOT/Smart Factory requirements
• Develops Smartphone-like Apps based on ITW EAE’s patented Open Apps platform for equipment
• Helps prepare software requirements specifications.
• Assists in the resolution of hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
• Assists with new product design specifications.
• Develops standard routines and utility programs.
• Provide support for software related issues to factory floor, technical support, field service and sales.

Education and Skills

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field, 2-4 years of related experience.
• Experience with ‘C++’ and C#
• Experience with software projects using structured design techniques.
• Experience working as a member of a software project team.
• WPF and Visual Studio, source control and/or installation package experience a plus
• Experience using Object Oriented design methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of machine control software and Windows based GUI design.

Compensation Information

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. The range for this position is :$105,000 - $140,000 .
