Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a senior software engineer to design and develop desktop applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs for IoT products. You will work across front-end and back-end in a Linux environment and deploy software using containers.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, strong OO skills, Linux, cloud platforms, REST, SQL, and SOA; C# and Azure are preferred. Windows-to-Linux migration support is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field plus 5+ years of software development and design experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills with Linux, cloud platforms, containers, REST APIs, SQL and SOA; C# and Azure preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop desktop applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs for IoT-based products, working across front-end and back-end applications in a Linux environment. Collaborate on product functionality, deploy software using containers, support application migration from Windows to Linux, and contribute to building and supporting new products.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field, plus at least five years of software development and design experience, including customer-facing product launches and scalable, distributed solutions. Candidates should have strong object-oriented programming skills, experience with Linux, cloud platforms, containers, REST APIs, SQL, and service-oriented architectures; C# and Azure are preferred.
