Job summary

Nike seeks a Software Engineer II in Beaverton, OR to design, develop and deliver software tools for the Design Engineering domain. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to build scalable cloud-native solutions and enterprise tooling across Nike’s Design ecosystem.

You’ll contribute to building RESTful services, microservices, and modern front-end interfaces using React/Angular/Vue, with AWS Lambda, Step Functions and DynamoDB.

Software Engineer II, Design Engineering – Nike

Who You Will Work With

The Consumer Product & Innovation Design Engineering builds software tools and systems to enable end-to-end product creation at speed and scale. We power designers, artists, developers and engineers by equipping them with integrated tools to create, manage and share visual assets across business functions at Nike that make collaboration automated and seamless. You will work with a team of software engineers and partner with our product managers and business users, as well as engineers across CP&I.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a software engineer who can design and write code in a modern software development environment. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have native cloud software engineering experience.

• Bachelor Degree or a combination of relevant education, training and experience
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience in javascript/node.js
• Experience with AWS products including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, s3
• Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer-science fundamentals
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design, microservices, etc)
• Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning and related data solutions a plus
• Experiencewithfront-endframeworkslikeReact,Angular,or Vue.js. a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What You’ll Work On

You will develop in collaboration with a team of engineers building out tooling for our enterprise facing applications that are part of Nike’s Design domain. You will:
