The role is well suited for an engineer who has established software development fundamentals and is looking to grow their experience in cloud-native development, distributed systems, and connected products. The engineer will contribute to feature development, production support, automated testing, and continuous improvement of software quality, reliability, and maintainability.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based software components supporting connected products and customer-facing applications.
  • Implement software features using C#/.NET and established engineering patterns, coding standards, automated testing, and code review practices.
  • Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, queues, storage, and other cloud platform components.
  • Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews to maintain software quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot software and production issues by analyzing application logs, metrics, code behavior, and system dependencies.
  • Participate in L3 support activities and work with senior engineers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, operations, firmware, mobile, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver assigned functionality.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute implementation ideas and recommendations within established system architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, maintainability, security, and developer productivity.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, provide clear status updates, and document technical approaches and troubleshooting findings.
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience developing and supporting production software.
  • Hands-on programming experience with C#/.NET, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and working with backend services.
  • Working knowledge of databases and data access patterns.
  • Experience with source control, preferably Git, code reviews, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience writing automated tests and debugging software issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a software engineering team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
WE VALUE:
  • Experience developing applications using C#/.NET Core.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.
  • Experience with Azure technologies such as App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Event Hubs, IoT Hub, or Cosmos DB.
  • Familiarity with microservices, asynchronous messaging, or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
  • Familiarity with containers and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience using application logs, metrics, dashboards, or observability tools to troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with connected devices, IoT applications, or other distributed systems is a plus.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • Opportunity to shape the technical direction of a global IoT platform
  • Significant influence on architecture, tooling, and engineering standards
  • Collaboration across a diverse, global organization
  • Work on a full‑stack, cloud‑based security and smart‑home platform
  • Competitive benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, paid time off, and holidays
