Job summary

A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a Software Engineer 1 in Annapolis Junction, MD to create integrated software tools for mission analytic users. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with a strong background in Java and Python programming, as well as experience in debugging and software design. This role may require both low and high side access and potentially allows for telework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Seven years’ experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope.
• Ability to analyze user requirements and derive software design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain integrated, feature-rich software capabilities.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software.
