Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO is seeking a software engineer for an onsite role to design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems. You will collaborate with engineers and leaders in an Agile environment, exploring multi-tier architectures, AWS services, and microservice design.

The role emphasizes modern DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, and lifecycle management for large defense projects, including telemetry and spacecraft operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience as an intern at Raytheon.
• Experience developing object-oriented software using C++ or Java.
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
• An ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.

• A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design.

• Satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.
