Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Software Engineer I for an onsite role in San Diego, CA. The position supports the Navy’s GPS-based data fusion and distribution system, contributing to development, testing, and sustainment of mission-critical software.

You will work in an Agile environment, participate in CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with hardware and test engineering teams to deliver reliable PNT data for surface ships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related STEM field.
• Foundational knowledge of programming and debugging.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line operations.
• Exposure to Agile development through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software features under guidance from senior engineers.
• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues.
• Contribute to automated tests and participate in CI/CD-driven build and integration processes.
• Support software design tasks, including documentation and interface definition.
• Work within an Agile team, participating in standups, sprint reviews, and planning activities.
• Follow secure coding practices and support DevSecOps-aligned workflows.
• Collaborate across systems, hardware, and test engineering teams.
• Maintain documentation for reviews, audits, and configuration management.
