Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join a growing team. This early-career role focuses on ensuring product quality within the software lifecycle, learning automation tooling, and collaborating with developers in a fast-paced industry.

This is a 3 month temporary engagement with potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field/equivalent education.
  • 0-2 years experience in software QA/testing (internships included).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Git; basic coding knowledge (JavaScript).
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software.
  • Document and report software defects within the lifecycle in Jira.
  • Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
  • Maintain a growing test repository of manual and automated scripts in Playwright.
  • Contribute to QA standards and testing processes.

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their QA career who is passionate about ensuring product quality within the software lifecycle, learning automation tooling and collaborating with developers in a fast pace industry.

This is a 3 month temporary employment engagement. There is potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software
  • Document and report software defects within the software lifecycle in Jira
  • Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
  • Assist in maintaining a growing test repository of manual and automated scripts within Playwright framework
  • Continuous contribution to QA standards and testing processes
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field/equivalent education
  • 0-2 years experience in software qa/testing (internships included)
  • General understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile processes
  • Basic understanding of coding languages (preferred java script)
  • Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solvingStrong communication skills
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Exposure to automation tooling (playwright/cypress/selenium)
  • Experience with API tooling
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (github actions/ jenkins, etc.)
  • Motivated to learn and grow within QA industry
  • Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible mindset
COMPENSATION
  • Base Salary: Denver: $70,000; Long Beach: $80,000
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work Location—this role will be onsite at either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA location, with travel to other sites as needed.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
