Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our growing team in Long Beach. This entry-level role focuses on ensuring product quality within the software lifecycle, while learning automation tooling and collaborating with developers in a fast-paced space industry.

You will execute manual and automated tests, report defects in Jira, and participate in agile sprint activities. This is a fully onsite position with a requirement for U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field/equivalent education
• 0-2 years experience in software qa/testing (internships included)
• General understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile processes
• Basic understanding of coding languages (preferred java script)
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving
• Strong communication skills
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software
• Document and report software defects within the software lifecycle in Jira
• Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
• Assist in maintaining a growing test repository of manual and automated scripts within Playwright framework

Compensation

• Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000
• Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

Additional Requirements

• Work Location- this is a fully onsite role. Candidates must be based in or able to commute to our Denver or Long Beach office daily.
• Work environment- the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
• Physical demands- the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
