RTX is seeking a software professional for the Effectors Center in Tucson, AZ to contribute to real-time embedded software and tools for missiles and sensors. You will participate in requirements, design, development, testing, and documentation within an agile team of software engineers.

Responsibilities include coding, testing, integration, code reviews, and collaboration with project managers, with adherence to configuration management and development processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major.
• Experience with C/C++ or other object-oriented language.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded testing.

The Software organization develops software applications, including integration and test on missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. This position is within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
• Experience with C, C++, or other object-oriented language
• Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded system testing

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior Internship experience
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and Unified Model Language
• Experience writing low level code for microcontroller, Arduino or Raspberry PI
• Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• ABET accreditation
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and leaders in a team environment

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
