Job summary

Vermeer is seeking an Engineer I - Software for remote work from Pella, IA. You will design and deliver software using solid coding standards, with focus on well-tested, maintainable code in an agile team.

You’ll assist in CI/CD, collaborate with other developers, and contribute to documentation while expanding your cloud and scripting skills. Remote work is supported with geographic flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of C#, HTML, TypeScript/JavaScript, and C/C++.
• Experience deploying cloud applications and REST APIs.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and source control such as Git, Azure Repo, and Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to RTOS, Ubuntu, Android, iOS; testing and cloud fundamentals.
• Interested in Agile software development and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software and solutions using established techniques (pair programming, TDD).
• Maintain CI/CD steps to ensure high-quality releases with efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal/external developers in agile settings.
• Create and maintain project and application documentation.
