Job summary

Allied Benefit Systems, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer I for a fully remote role based in the United States. The position focuses on maintaining and developing software applications, including problem solving, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web APIs, WCF), strong OOP and SOLID knowledge, and experience with SQL Server.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, OR equivalent degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience developing software using Microsoft’s platform.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID and OOP.
  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web APIs, WCF.
  • Experience with SQL Server Development – creating and modifying stored procedures.
  • Experience maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Joget.
  • Familiarity with legacy systems like VB6 and classic ASP.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an agile environment.
  • Contribute to daily scrum tasks and project success.
  • Design, develop, test and release software changes and enhancements.
  • Maintain TDD to improve quality and support CI/CD.
  • Work with QA to build automation tests.
  • Adhere to privacy and security laws (HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Attend required HIPAA trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position will also be responsible for problem solving, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting through the application development process.
