Job summary

Auris Health, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is hiring a Software Engineer, GUI to design and implement user-centered GUI software for medical devices.

You will collaborate with designers, researchers, clinicians and product managers to craft simple, effective user experiences and ensure robust software through the full development cycle. The role requires C/C++ expertise, Windows/UWP experience, MVVM/MVC patterns, and strong prototyping skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology Innovation, or related field; 2 years of experience in GUI software.
• Experience with C/C++ and Windows environments preferred.
• Prototyping software functions as PoCs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve GUI software.

Job Duties: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, clinicians, product managers and a large, passionate group of peers to shape simple, effective user experiences and mold the future of design. Participate in regular code reviews.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology Innovation, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a Software Engineer, GUI-related occupation.

Position Requires Experience With

• Programming skills in C/C++;
• Modular GUI development in Universal Windows Platform;
• Architecture design patterns, including Model-View-View Model (MVVM) and MVC(Model-View-Controller), as well as User Experience design framework, including material design principles;
• Entire software stack, including front-end, back-end, and connection between them, as well as DevOps & deployment;
• Working in a Windows environment;
• Software development tools (Git, Jenkins, and Integrated Development Environment);
• Medical device development experience;
• Prototyping: designing, implementing, and verifying a software function as a proof of concept
• May telecommute per company’s policy (hybrid).

• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
