Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer for the Starlink Ground Network in Washington. You will own software systems for capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization across thousands of ground stations and data centers. You will build scalable data pipelines and services to forecast demand, quantify costs, and guide deployment decisions.

You will collaborate with network engineers and software teams, owning architecture, testing, deployment, and monitoring in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years in software engineering.
• Experience building capacity planning or optimization systems.
• Proficiency in OO or systems programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain software for capacity planning and optimization.
• Build data pipelines ingesting telemetry, inventory, and usage data.
• Create simulation and forecasting engines for future needs.
• Collaborate with engineers and external partners to align models with performance.
• Own software lifecycle from architecture to deployment.
