Job Summary

The MET designs, builds, and maintains platforms that enable advertisers, publishers, and partners to accurately measure the performance, effectiveness, and value of advertising campaigns across digital and linear channels. The team operates data clean room technologies that support secure, privacy-preserving collaboration for attribution, reach, and frequency analysis. MET ensures FreeWheel-generated exposure data is delivered reliably, at scale, and in compliance with privacy standards, while also managing the ingestion of client and partner measurement data to support decisioning for targeting, spend optimization, and audience engagement. In this role you will provide meaningful/substantial contributions to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. Although primarily an individual contributor (IC) from a work product perspective, your years of experience have shaped you into a skilled collaborator. You are comfortable working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including product development, project management, compliance, architecture, SRE, QA and end-users. Additionally, you understand foundational principles of success which underpin engineering execution in a Cloud environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Product Management and Engineering leadership to gather requirements for components, applications, services, platforms and other technical solutions.
• Possess hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP); with a good understanding of automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native tools.
• Practical experience with a range of programming (Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, etc.), build (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, etc.), database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc.), and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
• Build and scalemeasurement infrastructurefor outcome-based optimization, starting with lower-funnel use cases and expanding over time.
• Apply and improveattribution and performance modelsto quantify campaign outcomes and support reporting, planning, and optimization.
• Create solutions which bringmeasurement metrics into buying and selling workflowsthrough robust APIs, reporting, and user interfaces.
• Support product capabilities such asuniversal pixel, conversion APIs, clean-room data, real-time and batch processing, and self-service measurement tools.
• Create automated unit and integration tests, validating adherence to requirements and preventing escaped defects
• Develop an understanding of the larger (Freewheel) Engineering ecosystem, contributing to “buy vs. build vs. broker” discussions.
• Ensure that delivered software solutions are scalable, available, and maintainable.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Ideal Skillset:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on programming experiencewith GoLang
• Demonstrated experience with microservices and container orchestration platformssuch as Kubernetes or EKS (AWS or OCI).
• Practical skill operating with at least one major cloud provider(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI), including exposure to services like S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, or their equivalents.
• Working knowledge ofCI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Terraform.
• SolidSQL skills, with exposure to data platforms like Aerospike, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Presto, or EMR.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
• Demonstrated ability todebug and resolve technical issueswithin scoped features or components.
• Strongcollaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Ability to adapt and contribute in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Interest or experience in theadvertising or audience targeting domainis a plus, but not required.

Salary:

Illinois Pay Range: $109,759.26 - $164,638.89

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
