Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking Software Engineers to join the Geospatial Platform (Terra) team. You will design and implement cloud infrastructure, edge software, and data projects across business lines, delivering indispensable software platforms for the company.

You will build data ingestion pipelines, enable access to geospatial data, and develop edge software for fast offline access, collaborating with Lattice teams to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience with languages such as Go, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Rust.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps, and core infra concepts (networking, distributed systems).
• Experience collaborating with customers to deliver software capabilities.
• Enjoy building platform and infrastructure tooling for scale.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Anduril’s Geospatial Platform (Terra) team owns geospatial cloud infrastructure, geospatial edge software, as well as geospatial data. The team’s north star is to provide highly available and resilient cloud services, high-performance edge software, and the latest geospatial data to support all Anduril warfighter missions.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for Software Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will work on cloud infrastructure, edge software, and data related projects. You will design and implement capabilities that are part of Lattice in the cloud, and at the edge. This will require you to work across many business lines inside of Anduril to understand their needs and to synthesize solutions that can be used by the entire company. If you're hands‑on, think long‑term, and are dedicated to delivering indispensable software platforms, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build data ingestion pipelines that process large geospatial datasets
• Create a platform that lets users access geospatial data
• Build edge software that enables high performance offline access to geospatial data
• Collaborate with other Lattice service teams and Anduril business lines to design and build solutions that meet the needs of all business lines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-7 years working with a variety of programming languages such as Go, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, etc.
• Experience with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems)
• Have experience working with customers to deliver novel software capabilities
• Love building platform and infrastructure tooling that enables other software engineers to scale their output
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• You’ve built or invented something: an app, a website, game, startup
• Previous experience working in an engineering setting: a startup (or startup‑like environment), engineering school, etc. If you've succeeded in a low structure, high autonomy environment you'll succeed here!
• Professional software development lifecycle experience using tools such as version control, CICD systems, etc.
• A deep, demonstrated understanding of how computers and networks work, from a single desktop to a multi‑cluster cloud node
• Experience building scalable backend software systems with various data storage and processing requirements
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
• Experience implementing robot or autonomous vehicle testing frameworks in a software‑in‑the‑loop or hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HITL) environment
• Experience with modern build and deployment tooling (e.g. Crossplane, Terraform)
• Experience designing complex software systems, and iterating upon designs via a technical design review process
• Familiarity with industry standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools and best practices
• A bias towards rapid delivery and iteration

US Salary Range

$166,000 — $220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
