Job summary

Google LLC seeks software engineers to develop next-generation AI-enabled systems at a massive scale. You will work across back-end and front-end stacks, drive prototypes, and shape product roadmaps in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role involves building libraries and services, partnering with PMs, researchers, and designers to deliver high-impact features for Google surfaces and users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years of testing and launching software products.
• 5 years of full stack development across back-end and front-end stacks.
• 3 years of software design and architecture experience.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in software development.
  
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  
• 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience in navigating a complex product space and setting technical roadmaps.
• Experience in building robust and scalable infrastructure, or in evaluating complex systems.
• Experience managing ambiguity and launching a reliable experience in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in applied ML in the generative AI era (prompt engineering, agentic system, evals, synthetic data generation).

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
