Job summary

AGCO is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team, focusing on embedded Linux-based software for connectivity ECUs across AGCO’s machine ecosystem.

You will work in a highly collaborative, global team to design, develop, and maintain software spanning requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, and validation, with opportunities to influence IoT and telemetry tech choices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years total experience with at least 2 years in relevant embedded domains.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and Linux build environments (Buildroot, Yocto).
• Experience with CI tools and version control (Git); familiarity with CAN, MQTT, HTTP, IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications for connectivity ECUs.
• Patch packages and maintain SW build processes in CI systems.
• Contribute to software quality through testing, integration, and automated validation.

AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Software Engineer.

In our Research and Development organization, you will contribute to future-oriented connected and digital solutions that enable smarter, more efficient agricultural machines. Working in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, you will help design and develop embedded software that connects machines, systems, and cloud services across global product platforms. Our teams work closely with product management, systems engineering, suppliers, and end customers to ensure solutions deliver real value in productivity, reliability, and sustainability. You will be part of the global Connected Services engineering team responsible for embedded software running on connectivity and performance ECUs within AGCO’s machine ecosystem. In this role, you will develop, integrate, and maintain embedded Linux–based software components, supporting communication, diagnostics, and over-the-air capabilities.You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, and validation. Your Impact

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications and build systems for connectivity ECUs
• Patch packages where issues are detected
• Maintain the continuous integration and automation of SW build processes
• Implement new mechanisms to improve Software Quality (Static Code Analysis, Securit Vulnerability Scans)
• Implementation of integration and smoke tests and automated tests to validate software – Work in a global agile team

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Total 5 years of experience with minimum 2 years of development experience in the below domains.
• Experience with Linux operating system and Linux build environments (Buildroot, Yocto)
• Experience with C/C
• Experience with Continuous Integration (e.g. Cloudbees Jenkins, Artifactory, Conan)
• Experience with GIT, CAN, MQTT, HTTP, IP
