Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a candidate for the E-commerce AI Platform team in Seattle to design and operate scalable ML platforms and AI services. This role emphasizes delivering robust AI platforms, training and deploying ML models, and enabling wide-scale AI orchestration across business domains.

The successful candidate will partner across teams, lead architectural decisions, and drive innovation in Agentic AI and related AI services to support our e-commerce platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience building, training, and deploying complex and scalable ML systems.
• Strong CS foundation including algorithms, data structures and software design patterns.
• Solid programming skills with understanding of Agentic AI and AI platforms like ChatBot, Rag, A2A protocols.

About the Team: We are the TikTok E-commerce AI Platform team (USDS). Our mission is to build the one-stop AI platform that allows different business domains to fully realize the potential of LLM and AI Agents. We are providing business-centric and user-friendly platform that covers from model training, model service managements, MCP/Skills/Tools integration, and AI orchestration, and business applications. Our visions are maximizing end-to-end AI application development efficiency and ultimately enabling e-commerce business to achieve self-evolving AI native goal.

• System Architecture & Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and operation of AI platforms that can provide robust performance and flexible business integration solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively across various teams, organizations, and internal/external stakeholders to drive complex engineering efforts and align technical strategies.
• Innovation: Drive technical innovation by identifying and integrating emerging technologies and novel ideas to keep our infrastructure at the cutting edge.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1+ years of hands‑on experience building, training, and deploying complex and scalable Machine Learning systems.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns. Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Solid programming skills with a strong understanding of Agentic AI and AI platforms like ChatBot, Rag, A2A protocols, etc.
• Proven experience in managing technical projects and delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In‑depth experience with Agentic AI and related sub-systems (e.g., Rag, AutoPrompt).
• Deep understanding of the full LLM training and serving process.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129960 - $246240 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
