Roblox is seeking a Software Engineer for the Discovery UX team in San Mateo, CA. You will design and ship frontend features that define the discovery path for millions of players, using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. You’ll contribute to UX research, A/B tests, and data-driven decisions, collaborating across Web and App platforms.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant web/mobile experience and a strong user-centric mindset to deliver safe, engaging experiences for our community.

As a Software Engineer on the Discovery UX team, you'll build frontend features across discovery surfaces like Home and Search, helping users find games they'll love and developers find their audience. You'll design, build, and measure your own features, working with partners across Roblox. You Will:

• 1-3 years of industry experience building web or mobile applications using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and JavaScript

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page (https://careers.roblox.com/total-rewards).

Annual Salary Range

$153,120-$196,750 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
