Job summary

Jobgether SRL in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer, Developer Tools focused on building tools that simplify integrations for developers. This fully remote role spans SDKs, CLI tools, MCP, integrations, and backend services to support developers across platforms.

You will own projects from discovery to production, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and emphasize reliability, interfaces, and developer experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SDKs, CLI tools, MCP servers, or integrations is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with React or frontend tooling is advantageous.
  • Experience with queues, monitoring, and error recovery is a plus.
  • Exposure to multiple languages and library design is beneficial.
  • Experience with email development or interest in email ecosystem is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and operate developer tools that simplify integrations across languages and environments.
  • Develop backend services supporting developer tools, integrations, and workflows.
  • Collaborate to establish clear API contracts and consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI tools, MCP, and docs.
  • Create interfaces for developers and AI agents to interact with the platform (MCP, skills, CLI tooling).
  • Manage compatibility, testing, releases, upgrades, and backward compatibility for reliability.
  • Create shared tooling enabling other teams to deliver changes confidently.
  • Work directly with developers via support interactions, GitHub issues, and PRs.
  • Own projects from discovery through implementation, release, and post-launch improvements.
  • Contribute to reliability through authentication, retries, idempotency, rate limits, monitoring, and partial failures.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer, Developer Tools based in United States.

This is a fully remote engineering role focused on building tools that make software integration simple, reliable, and intuitive for developers.
You will work across SDKs, command-line tools, React Email, MCP, integrations, and the backend services that support them.
The role combines strong backend engineering with a deep focus on developer experience, APIs, reliability, and interface design.
You will help developers understand failures, integrate products into existing workflows, and confidently scale their applications.
You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams while also interacting directly with developers through support channels, GitHub issues, and pull requests.

  • Build, maintain, and operate developer tools that simplify integrations across programming languages, frameworks, and development environments.

  • Develop backend services supporting developer tools, integrations, and related workflows.

Requirements
  • Strong backend software engineering experience, including building and maintaining production APIs or services.

  • Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

  • Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and failure recovery.

  • Experience building software, libraries, APIs, or tools that other developers rely on in production.

  • Strong appreciation for developer experience, including intuitive interfaces, clear error messages, useful documentation, and backward compatibility.

  • Ability to approach AI agents as product users and consider their requirements around discovery, usability, and security.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into focused, practical solutions.

  • Clear communication skills, openness to feedback, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Experience with open-source projects or external developer communities is a plus.

  • Experience building SDKs, CLI tools, MCP servers, or integrations between platforms is highly valued.

  • Familiarity with React or frontend build tooling is advantageous.

  • Experience operating systems involving queues, monitoring, and error recovery is a plus.

  • Exposure to multiple programming languages and an understanding of language-specific library design is beneficial.

  • Experience with email development or a strong interest in learning the email technology ecosystem is a plus.
