DoorDash is building a robust Data Platform in a multi-city setup including San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle and New York. The role focuses on scalable data infrastructure, streaming analytics and governance to enable reliable data-driven decisions.

As a Software Engineer, Data Platform, you will work with Spark, Kafka, Flink and related lakehouse technologies to deliver streaming and batch data solutions at scale, while ensuring quality, privacy and cost efficiency.

Formación

• Experience with Spark in big data domains (streaming, batch, data lake OLAP).
• Strong data quality, cataloging, privacy and compliance standards.

The Core Data Platform organization owns all the infrastructure necessary to run an operationally efficient analytical data stack. The Data Platform team spans data mobility frameworks, ingestion, infrastructure, tools, and governance.

Skills, with evidence

• Warehousing Together, they design and operate scalable compute and ingestion frameworks using technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, and modern lakehouse solutions, while also building abstractions and tools that simplify data workflows for engineers, analysts, and ML practitioners.
• Cost & performance You will bring your expertise in building and operating high scale systems with a focus on reliability, scalability and cost efficiency.

Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, generating code, testing, monitoring and releasing software
