United States Digital Space LLC in California (San Mateo) is seeking a Software/Data Platform Engineer to help build scalable analytics infrastructure and real-time data processing capabilities that empower teams across the company.

You will own data services end-to-end, collaborate with Eng, Finance, Accounting, and other teams, and focus on data quality, security, and reliability while moving quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Go.
• Experience with distributed data systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve analytical infrastructure for data collection, transformation, and analysis.

Overview

As a member of our Data Platform team, you will build the data infrastructure, products, and services that enable teams across the company to make data-driven decisions and ultimately deliver high-quality products to our users.

We believe in tools over processes, automation over operations, metrics over anecdotes, iteration over perfection, and proactive over reactive. You will have the opportunity to own impactful projects end-to-end and solve challenging data and infrastructure problems at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Build and evolve analytical infrastructure that enables teams to easily collect, transform, analyze, and understand data.
• Build real-time data infrastructure to support streaming data processing and provide real-time visibility into critical business and system metrics.
• Work cross-functionally to build data products used across the company, including by Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and other teams.
• Design and implement solutions that ensure data quality, reliability, security, and compliance.
• Make informed technical decisions and take end-to-end ownership of the services and applications you build.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Passion for product quality and building reliable systems that enable teams to move quickly.
• Strong interest in cross-functional collaboration and solving problems beyond traditional team boundaries.
• Proficiency in Python and Go.

Nice to have:

• Experience with distributed data systems and technologies such as Spark, Presto/Trino, Hive, or similar technologies.

Annual Pay Range

At the company, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A the company employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
