Velos Team is seeking a Software Engineer (Data Processing and Fusion) for a contract to work onsite in Washington, DC with a focus on sensor data handling, multi-sensor data fusion, and production-quality software development. The role requires translating scientific algorithms into robust software and collaborating with scientists across projects.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering with data processing and fusion.
Active SECRET clearance required.
Experience translating science algorithms into production code.
Experience with sensor data and imaging data fusion.

Responsibilities

Handle data coming off the sensors and fuse data across products using their algorithms.
Work with scientists to fuse data across products including radar and imaging data fusion.
Design and develop software related to instrument control and onboard/ground data processing.
Evaluate advanced mathematical methods and algorithms to meet performance requirements.
Provide input on hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of software components.
Support flight and ground system design and development to ensure system integrity and reuse components.
