Dow Jones is seeking a data engineer to build and maintain ELT pipelines using dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, SQL, and Python. You will design reliable data models, monitor pipeline health, and contribute to testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and on-call production operations.

Requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and familiarity with Git and CI/CD. A CS degree or equivalent work experience is expected; cloud data warehousing and governance knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

Strong SQL and working knowledge of Python.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.

Build and maintain ELT pipelines using dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, SQL, and Python, including data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery. Design and support reliable data models and platform capabilities, monitor pipeline health, and contribute to testing, CI/CD, code reviews, on-call support, and production operations.

Requirements

Requires 1–2 years of relevant data engineering, software engineering, or database development experience, strong SQL, working knowledge of Python, and exposure to Airflow, dbt, or comparable tools. Candidates should be familiar with Git and CI/CD and have a computer science or related degree, or equivalent work experience; cloud platforms, governance, BI tools, and infrastructure-as-code are advantageous.
