Job summary

Chai Discovery Inc. is seeking engineers to build the compute infrastructure behind its next generation of models and autonomous research. The role focuses on scaling clusters, removing bottlenecks, and ensuring reliable, efficient model inference across the stack.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and scientists to push the velocity of AI-driven drug discovery while building secure, scalable storage and foundations for data use.

• Ownership of substantial production systems and ability to trade off complexity, reliability, and efficiency.

About the role

Build the compute infrastructure behind Chai’s next generation of models, scientific products, and autonomous research. Our research program and runtime inference constantly demand more compute, and the rate at which we bring it online and manage it effectively directly inflects Chai's velocity.

We look for depth in distributed systems, compute infrastructure, and performance engineering, with demonstrated ownership of substantial production systems. You can reason across layers and make sound tradeoffs between complexity, reliability, and efficiency.
