Job summary

Kiewit Technology Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that support business operations. You will work跨 functionally with product owners, analysts, QA, and architects to deliver scalable applications across the organization.

The ideal candidate has strong OO design skills, experience across the SDLC, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two or more years of professional software development experience.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
Experience with at least one modern programming language and application development framework.
Experience with source control systems and collaborative development practices.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, services, and integrations.
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Implement new features, enhancements, defect fixes, and system improvements across applications and platforms.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution planning and architecture decisions.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback that supports code quality, maintainability, and team development.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and production support issues.
Develop and maintain automated tests and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Follow established coding standards, security requirements, governance processes, and SDLC practices.
Use approved AI-assisted development tools and engineering practices to improve productivity while validating outputs.
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
Participate in Agile delivery activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and support less experienced engineers as appropriate.
