Job summary

Wellmark is seeking a software developer to design, implement, test, and maintain innovative solutions aligned with technology strategy. You will build relationships across Technology and business units, ensuring accessibility, usability, and strong data integrity while delivering on project objectives.

You will collaborate with global teams, leverage BizTalk and SQL/NoSQL stacks, and contribute to architecture decisions in a fast-paced environment as a member of Wellmark Technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and at least 1 year of software development experience OR 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to gather information and perform root-cause analysis with data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and adjust style for audience.
• Mentor teammates while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide development and production support for key applications and systems.
• Contribute to solutions architecture and produce technical specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with UX to improve user experience and accessibility criteria.
• Resolve issues across on-premise, cloud-native, and hybrid environments.
• Support root cause analysis and ongoing optimization with data-driven insights.
• Propose solutions that meet project objectives and realized benefits.
• Identify issues and escalate when necessary with proposed resolutions.
• Communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
