Job summary

Intelliforce-IT Solutions Group in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to build and operate secure backend services that power analytic results. You will design, develop, and sustain Java/Spring microservices, APIs, and containerized apps in Kubernetes environments.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, participate in CI/CD, and work in a mission-focused, on-site setting. A Top Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, active (not sponsorable).

• Experience developing and supporting backend software in mission/enterprise environments.

At Intelliforce, we build backend services that help analysts get a complete, reliable view of mission data. In this role, you will support the prime program, a backend platform designed to provide compliant storage and access for analytic results while exposing APIs that support broader enterprise outcomes.

You will work on the design, development, maintenance, and operation of secure backend services that integrate with analytic systems and presentation tools across the enterprise. Your work will sit at the center of Java development, microservices, APIs, containerized environments, data access, and production operations.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Could Include

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate backend capabilities
• Develop Java and Spring microservices
• Build and maintain APIs that support integration with analytic systems and presentation tools
• Support compliant storage and access for analytic results
• Work within Linux-based development and operational environments
• Build and support containerized applications using Docker and containerd
• Deploy and sustain services in Kubernetes environments
• Monitor application and platform health using Grafana and Prometheus
• Use Git for source control, collaboration, and code management
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and platform issues
• Support production reliability and ongoing system sustainment
• Collaborate with engineers across software, platform, data, and mission disciplines
• Maintain technical documentation and support Agile development activities
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment improvements as the platform evolves

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
• Experience developing and supporting backend software in mission or enterprise environments
• Experience working collaboratively on multidisciplinary technical teams
• Ability to work effectively in a secure, on-site mission environment

• Experience using the Linux command-line interface
• Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and containerd
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience using Grafana and Prometheus for system monitoring
• Experience using Git for version control
• Strong backend software development fundamentals
• Experience troubleshooting software and platform issues
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Compensation Range: $196,000.00 - $252,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
