Job summary

Koop Technologies in the Greater New York City Area is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build modern microservices backends using Go and Java, with Terraform and Kubernetes. The role emphasizes end-to-end involvement from ideas to deployment in a fast-paced, security-focused environment.

We value experience with AI-native development, NoSQL databases, and containerized architectures on AWS. This is an in-person, full-time position offering competitive salary and equity, with growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing complex software applications.
• Experience with AI-native software development (Claude Code, Codex).
• Experience with Go or Java, desire to learn and use both.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience building microservices in Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate, or other container frameworks.
• Desire to learn the latest software development practices and apply them in real product development.
• Founder mindset, tremendous work ethic, and excellent written/verbal skills.
