Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer to develop safety-critical avionics software for military and surveillance platforms in the Seattle region. You will craft embedded C++ software with RFIO, perform DO-178C compliant development, and manage requirements with DOORS.

The role includes supporting software certification artifacts, code reviews, and flight test integration, and requires Python experience. Relocation or travel may be required for some programs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in DO-178C and embedded software lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, build systems, and compiler configurations.
  • Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, and CM tools.
  • Familiarity with certification/documentation environments.
  • Experience with signal processing, FPGA interfacing and RFIO.
  • Experience with Python.

About the Job You Are Considering

We are seeking a Software Engineer with deep experience in safety-critical avionics software development supporting military and surveillance platforms.

Your Role
  • Develop embedded avionics software in C++ with a focus on RFIO.
  • Perform DO-178C compliant software development (DAL A preferred)
  • Create and manage requirements using DOORS
  • Support software certification artifacts (plans, requirements, traceability)
  • Conduct code reviews, builds, and configuration management
  • Support flight test integration, including interpretation of aircraft wiring/data flows
  • Support software testing using Python
Your Skills And Experience
  • Strong experience with DO-178C, embedded SW dev lifecycle
  • Proficiency in C/C++, build systems, and compiler configurations
  • Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, CM tools
  • Familiarity with certification/documentation environments
  • Experience with signal processing, FPGA interfacing (Hardware Registers) and RFIO.
  • Experience with Python

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $79,750 - $174,000 / year

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
