Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a motivated junior software developer to join our technology team. You will help develop, integrate, test, and enhance software solutions for cyber, training, and modeling initiatives, using Java, Python, C++, C#, and JavaScript within VS/VS Code environments.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team in Annapolis Junction, MD, on mission-focused projects. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with software development and programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with development environments such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, and computer networking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.

Software Engineer and Developer The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our technology team supporting the development, integration, testing, and enhancement of software solutions for cyber, training, modeling and simulation, and emerging technology initiatives. You will have a foundation in computer science and software engineering. You'll develop applications using languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, and React. This position is well suited for a candidate who is interested in expanding their software development skills while contributing to mission-focused technology solutions. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • Experience with software development
  • Experience with programming languages including Java, Python, C++, or C#
  • Experience with development environments such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, and computer networking
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs or database-driven applications
  • Experience with MongoDB, React, Bash scripting, or Windows Forms
  • Experience with software quality assurance and testing
  • Experience developing software prototypes or applications through academic or independent projects
  • Experience in artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation, cyber training, or emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, network infrastructure, or cyber training environments
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
