Responsibilities include shipping AI-powered features, building scalable systems handling billions in payments, and owning end-to-end delivery. The role emphasizes rapid iteration, reliability, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Genius AI is looking for Software Engineers to help build an agentic workforce: AI systems that act on behalf of appointment-based business owners. Engineers will either focus on product engineering—shipping AI-powered features that solve customer problems—or platform engineering—building the scalable, reliable infrastructure that powers these AI products. All engineers are expected to build with AI as the default layer, not just as an occasional tool.

Responsibilities will include:

• Architect and ship AI-powered features that deliver net-new capabilities for service businesses
• Build and maintain large-scale systems that process billions in payments and serve 120,000+ businesses, prioritizing reliability and performance
• Use AI to architect, debug, write, and review code, holding a high bar for output quality
• Own work end-to-end, from technical design through production, with full accountability for shipped features and their performance
• Build platform infrastructure that enables product teams to move faster by creating scalable, extensible systems
• Proactively challenge and improve engineering processes and architectures

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of production systems
• Use AI to architect, debug, write, and review code, and have shipped AI-powered features or systems
• Move quickly and make decisions, preferring to ship and iterate rather than over-plan
• Possess strong analytical instincts for efficiency, scalability, and system reliability
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial ownership mindset, treating assigned problems as yours to solve
• Are collaborative by default, making those around you better
