Job summary

Harmonic is seeking a Software Engineer to build robust, scalable distributed systems bridging AI research and product development. You will collaborate with researchers, design and implement core services, and contribute to deployment and testing throughout the SDLC.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in CS or related field, 2+ years of industry experience, and proficiency in Python or C++. Preference for MS/PhD and cloud tech experience (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes) are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
• Experience building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with modern software development practices including code reviews, source control, build and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI research scientists to translate research into practical software.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
• Ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of software systems.
