Job summary

Nexla is hiring an early-career engineer to help build the next generation of AI-native connectors and context-aware workflows. You will write core code, debug production systems, and ship intelligent, agentic data pipelines that power the GenAI revolution.

As an engineer, you will own features from design to deployment, collaborate with CTO and senior leads, and contribute to multi-tenant, low-latency AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Java/Kotlin/Scala, C++, Go, Rust).
• Experience with distributed systems and REST/HTTP.
• Familiarity with AI-native tooling and LLM-driven features preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-native connectors that combine traditional integration primitives with LLM-driven capabilities.
• Work with LLMs in production: design prompts, tool schemas, evaluation harnesses, and guardrails.
• Develop on distributed Python runtimes and data stacks (Ray, Arrow, Polars, DuckDB).
• Create self-recovery mechanisms and automated retries for massive pipelines.
• Collaborate across backend, runtime, and orchestration layers and contribute to documentation.
