Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to design and deploy LLM orchestration frameworks and data pipelines in support of federal contracts.

The role requires US citizenship, TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph, a BS in CS, and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong Python, data engineering, and RAG/LLM skills. On-site work across multiple locations in MD/VA/etc. may be required.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Five (05) years of direct/relevant experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Proficiency in Python, LLM integration, and data engineering.
  • Experience with static analyzers, RAG framework, and relational and vector databases.
  • Familiarization with Agile, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to design, develop, and maintain LLM orchestration frameworks coordinating static analyzers, RAG systems, and automated testing pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize data preprocessing pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and vectorize product docs, source code, and test results for LLMs.
  • Design and implement database solutions to support RAG architectures, artifact storage, audit trails, and metadata management.
  • Work with systems engineers to architect and deploy AI tools in secure enclaves and perform performance profiling, optimization, and scalability analysis.
  • Support security assessments and authority to operate (ATO) processes, and apply AI/ML to vulnerability identification and mitigation.

Required:

  • Design and implement database solutions to support RAG architectures, artifact storage, audit trails, and metadata management.
  • Collaboratively work with systems engineers to architect and deploy networked AI tools within secure enclaves and conduct performance profiling, optimization, and scalability analysis of mission systems.
  • Support security assessments and authority to operate (ATO) processes. * the engineer will use AI/ML to develop tools and techniques to include fine tuning Large Language Models (LLM) that assist in enhanced vulnerability identification and mitigation capabilities. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Familiarization with RUST, Claude Code, Codex, and CI/CD.
$150,000 - $225,000 a year The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
