Carvana in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a software engineer to join a fast-paced, on-site team focused on performance, scalability, and reliability of web applications. You will work on modern stacks with C#/.NET or JavaScript/TypeScript, cloud services (Azure), and AI-enabled tooling.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, Agile practices, and shipping features that improve the customer experience across Carvana's ecommerce, lending, and logistics platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of software development experience in C#/.NET or JavaScript/TypeScript stacks.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure) and modern web APIs.
• Familiarity with AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot) is plus.
• Strong unit testing, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to med–large size projects with cross-functional impact.
• Develop scalable, modular, and testable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Work in an AI-forward development environment across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with cloud systems, pipelines, and resources.
• Query data stores using SQL, NoSQL, and caching technologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional teams.
• Utilize Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes, and containerized workflows.
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications.
• Stay updated with new technologies and apply them to Carvana's stack.
