Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and maintain internal tools that amplify the capacity and quality of our Customer Success teams. You will automate onboarding, account management, and reporting workflows, and instrument tooling performance to resolve issues before they impact the team.

You'll develop async pipelines with Celery and SQS, build integrations across the stack, and leverage AI assistants with AWS Bedrock/Claude to improve CS workflows.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of software engineering experience shipping production-grade software.
• Proficiency in agentic software development — ship high-quality work quickly using AI agents.
• Strong backend proficiency in Python; experience with Django REST Framework and Celery.
• Strong product instincts — translate vague workflows into well-scoped technical solutions.
• Collaborative by default — ask questions, share context, and build with end user in mind.
• Comfort across the stack — backend APIs to frontend with Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with AWS services (Fargate, SQS, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, CDK).
• Familiarity with Retool or similar internal tooling platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools that amplify the capacity and quality of our Customer Success teams
• Automate repetitive, manual processes across customer onboarding, account management, and reporting workflows
• Instrument and monitor tooling performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact the team
• Develop and maintain async task pipelines using Celery and SQS to handle high-volume, time-sensitive workflows
• Build integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms so data flows seamlessly across the stack
• Leverage AWS Bedrock, and Claude to identify and build AI-assisted automation opportunities that meaningfully improve CS workflows
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices using AWS CDK
• Embed with the Customer Success team to scope problems, prioritize solutions, and ship iteratively
• Collaborate with the broader engineering team on shared infrastructure, code quality, and technical standards
• Participate in critical incident response for internal pipeline failures, owning diagnosis and resolution
