Job summary

Worky is seeking a Software Engineer to join a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and product professionals. You will design, develop, and maintain software applications that accelerate scientific discovery and support business operations.

You will work with technologies such as AWS, React, Python, and Databricks, contribute to AI-enabled solutions, and participate in Agile planning and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals including programming, testing, debugging, and version control.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

Education Minimum Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience through coursework, internships, co‑op programs, research projects, open‑source contributions, or personal projects.
  • Exposure to one or more of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, AWS, Azure, Databricks, GitHub, or Power Platform.
  • Interest in AI, data analytics, cloud computing, or scientific computing.
  • Background or interest in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.

The salary range for this role is $87,300.00 - $137,400.00
