Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an Agentic Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and automations across multiple platforms. You will work with business partners, Architects, and senior engineers to integrate Oracle Fusion Cloud and other AI platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/IS or equivalent experience, 1–3 years in software/automation, and knowledge of Oracle tech stacks, REST APIs, and AI basics. This is a hybrid onsite position with strong growth opportunities in IT.

You will work with business-aligned teams, Product Owners, Architects, and senior Engineers to build and support AI agents and automations across more than one technology stack. Oracle knowledge is required; experience with Microsoft or other AI platforms is a nice to have.Agentic AI is still a new discipline, so we do not expect you to arrive as an expert. You will learn multiple AI platforms hands-on by working with business-aligned teams and serving as a support escalation point for our production agents and automations, with ample opportunity to grow the depth of your expertise over time.You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilitiesDesign, build, test, and deploy AI agents and automations, starting with Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications and expanding to Microsoft and other AI platforms as you grow.Partner with business-aligned delivery teams to understand their software development processes, identify tasks that are good candidates for agentic automation, and turn requirements into working solutions.Connect agents to enterprise systems and data using REST APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud, and platform connectors, following secure authentication and access practices.Serve as a support escalation point for AI agents and automations in production: troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and put fixes in place with guidance from senior engineers.Write and refine prompts, agent instructions, and tool definitions, and use testing and evaluations to improve the accuracy and reliability of agent responses.Monitor agent performance, usage, and the value each solution delivers, and recommend improvements based on what you learn.Follow responsible AI, security, and governance standards, including human approval steps, auditability, and data protection.Document solutions, support procedures, and reusable patterns so other teams can adopt them.Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions, and stay current on emerging agentic AI capabilities across platforms.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.The TOOLS you’ll bring with youBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.1–3 years of experience in software development, automation, agentic development or an IT-related position; internships, co-ops, and substantial academic or personal projects count.Working knowledge of the Oracle technology stack, gained through work, internships, coursework, or certifications, such as Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle Integration Cloud, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Foundational understanding of generative AI and agentic concepts, including large language models, prompt design, retrieval and grounding, and tool or function calling.Programming or scripting experience in at least one language, such as Python, SQL, or JavaScript/TypeScriptUnderstanding of REST APIs, JSON, and common authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity to learn new platforms quickly.Familiarity with agent interoperability standards, such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A).Oracle or Microsoft AI certifications, for example Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications Foundations Associate.Strong professional, written, and verbal communication skills, and comfort working directly with business partners.How you'll grow in this roleStart on the Oracle platform: learn how our business-aligned teams use Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and build your first agents alongside senior engineers.Expand across platforms by contributing to Microsoft and other AI solutions as needs evolve.Sharpen your troubleshooting and critical thinking skills through support escalation for the agents and automations we run in production.Deepen your expertise in the platforms and business processes critical to Milwaukee Tool, with room to grow along our Software Engineering career path.We provide these great perks and benefits:Robust health, dental and vision insurance plansGenerous 401 (K) savings planEducation assistanceOn-site wellness, fitness center, food, and coffee service · And many more, check out our benefits site HERE .Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.
