Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy, the nation’s largest rare disease pharmacy, is seeking a Software Engineer to expand our applications. You will engage in systems analysis, development, testing, debugging, documenting, and deploying new components, contributing to clinical and patient-facing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of related work experience with SQL, TSQL, MS .NET, and Azure.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC or Web API, WinForms, HTML5/CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications following coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.
• Write clean, well-documented code for components and features.
• Participate in code reviews to improve quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot defects; implement enhancements per direction.

Purpose

The Software Engineer expands the suite of applications. The position manages systems analysis, development, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing portions of new systems and modifying existing systems. This role independently develops complete coding and develops projects and tasks by meeting established quality measures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and maintenance of software applications, following established coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborates with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code for software components and features.
• Participates in code reviews to learn from feedback and improve coding skills.
• Debugs and troubleshoots software defects and issues.
• Works on software enhancements and new features as directed by senior team members.
• Follows version control and software configuration management best practices.
• Assists with the integration and testing of software components.
• Keeps up to date with emerging technologies and programming languages to enhance your skills.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related work experience in SQL, TSQL, MS .NET, Azure.
• At least one of the following: ASP.NET MVC or Web API, WinForms. HTML 5.0, CSS, and a modern JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. Angular or React.)
• Data access technology such as: Microsoft Entity Framework, ADO.NET and/or other object-relational mapping (ORM) framework.
• Relational database (RDBMS) technology such as: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL with a solid understanding of SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office or home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
