Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote contract role. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend systems, and build RESTful APIs for reliable, high-performance services.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and contribute to architectural decisions while advancing CI/CD and monitoring practices. 10-40 hours/week, $30-$80/hour.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in software development using one or more modern programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with NLP, LLM, and building AI-powered or data-driven systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React; frontend experience a plus.
