Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with expertise in Material Management (MM) and Direct Procurement within automotive or manufacturing environments. This role will support Ford's IERP transformation program and will be responsible for both new development initiatives and production support activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional experience across the requisition-to-purchase process, SAP configuration, requirements gathering, testing, and business stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Functional Consulting

• Support SAP S/4HANA Material Management (MM) initiatives focused on Direct Procurement.
• Analyze and improve requisition-to-order procurement processes.
• Perform requirements gathering, business analysis, and fit-gap analysis.
• Configure SAP functionality to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements and solutions.
• Support SAP implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.

Business Analysis & Documentation

• Create and maintain:
• Functional Design Documents (FDD)
• Technical Design Documents (TDD)
• User Stories
• Use Cases
• Business Requirements
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Plan and execute:
• Functional Testing
• Integration Testing
• Security Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Support defect tracking and issue resolution.
• Validate system functionality and business process alignment.

Implementation & Deployment Support

• Support cutover planning and execution activities.
• Assist with data profiling, extraction, cleansing, and migration efforts.
• Support production deployments and release activities.
• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.

Integration & Production Support

• Analyze integration requirements between SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Support integrations with legacy systems and third-party platforms.
• Provide ongoing production support for implemented SAP solutions.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate resolution efforts.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 6+ years of IT experience.
• 4+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations and enhancements.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and product owners.
