Job summary

CHIPTON-ROSS Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a hybrid contract role. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and debugging applications and systems with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
Experience with automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or OpenText UFT.
Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter.
Understanding of agile software development principles.
Strong logical thinking and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions.
Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met.
Supporting Automated Regression testing utilizing software such as Tricentis Tosca and Opentext UFT
Managing, writing and executing automated test scripts supporting Siemens Teamcenter
Knowledge share test automation skills among team members
