Job summary

Cullerton Group is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois. This is a 12-month position with potential for permanent employment. Compensation is up to $56/hour plus full benefits including vision, dental, health insurance, 401k and holiday pay.

The role focuses on control systems, software development, validation, and deployment for power and industrial applications. Strong MATLAB/Simulink and embedded experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Simscape Power Systems and co-simulation.
• Embedded software development for real-time operating systems and/or Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software and control algorithms for advanced engineering systems.
• Perform SIL/HIL simulations to validate software performance.
• Research and implement new technologies and control strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop software requirements and analyze performance.
• Troubleshoot software issues and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Use version control and related tools to support development and release activities.
• Communicate findings and project status to stakeholders.
