Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex systems supporting critical environments. You will work across the full software lifecycle, delivering scalable analytics, real-time processing, and enterprise applications.

Strong emphasis on performance, modular design, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet mission needs. Applicants should have full-stack experience with Java and JavaScript, modern frameworks, and a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions with emphasis on performance.
• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph; U.S. citizen required.
• Experience with full stack development across design, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Experience with Java and JavaScript in an OO context, and with modular, reusable components.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting our critical environments. They will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering scalable solutions for processing-intensive analytics, large data sets, real-time systems, and enterprise applications.

In this role, they will collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to design high-performing software solutions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and implement reusable, modular components that support multiple applications and mission needs. Their expertise will help drive performance optimization, technical innovation, and long-term system sustainability.

• Have extensive experience designing and developing full-stack software solutions

Requirements

Security Clearance
