Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade server-side Java applications in a Linux environment.

You will work with Spring, RESTful services, and modern build tools to deliver scalable solutions for high-performance computing. The role requires extensive SWE experience, TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance, and a strong background in Java/GoLang, Linux, and source control.

Qualifications

• Eight years SWE experience in similar scope programs and contracts.
• Proficiency with PKE, RESTful services, containers (WebLogic/JBoss/Tomcat).
• Java, Perl, Java EE; SSL, LDAP; Linux (CentOS); modern IDEs and Agile Scrum.
• Four years in Linux/Unix/Windows environments; four years in Java or GoLang.
• Two years with the Spring Framework; one year RESTful interfaces.
• Four years using Git and CVS for source control; two years with JUnit or FIT.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain server-side Java apps.
• Support high-performance, multi-threaded, distributed environments.
• Develop apps in Spring Framework using Dependency Injection.
• Operate within Linux environments and managing builds with Maven/Gradle.

Job description

• TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVEAN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

Provides software development and engineering support for enterprise-grade applications operating in high-performance, multi-threaded, and distributed computing environments. The position focuses on developing and maintaining server-side Java applications in a Linux-based environment and requires the ability to work with established development frameworks, build tools, and source control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise-grade server-side Java applications.
• Develop software supporting high-performance, multi-threaded, and distributed computing environments.
• Develop and maintain applications within the Spring Framework, including use of Dependency Injection.
• Perform all development activities within Linux environments.
• Use Git for source code management and Maven and/or Gradle for application builds and dependency management.
• Troubleshoot application issues and support software integration, testing, and deployment.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Develop solutions that efficiently process and manage large volumes of data.

Qualification Requirements

• Eight (8) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Public Key Enabling (PKE). RESTful services and containers (Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat). Java programming language. Perl programing language. Java EE. Secure web (SSL) and file encryption. LDAP (RedHat directory) Java, Linux (CentOS), Modern IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.) and Agile Scrum process.
• Four (4) year experience programming in the Linux, Unix or Windows operating system environment
• Four (4) years' experience writing/maintaining software in Java or GoLang language
• Two (2) year experience with the Spring Framework
• One (1) year experience providing/using restful interfaces
• Four (4) years' experience using software development configuration management tools (such as GIT, CVS)
• Two (2) year experience with test harness software such as Junit or FIT

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with SIGINT security rules
• Two (2) years’ experience with the SIGINT environment

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. CWIP: IAM Level 1 Certificate, IA Baseline Certificate for the Primary Computing Environment/Operating System/Security Tool

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
