Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Software Engineer 2 (Data Transformation & Analytics) based in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves converting complex data into clean, analysis-ready datasets that drive decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and several years of relevant experience. Required skills include Python development, Linux tools, and familiarity with Apache Spark.

The position offers a competitive compensation range of $170 - $190K along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Transform complex data into high-quality analysis-ready datasets.
• Experience in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Identify ways to create consistent and repeatable capabilities.
• Support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Skills

Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools

Experience developing Bash scripts

Software development experience using Python

Familiar with Apache Spark

Experience using Jupyter Notebook

Data wrangling with pandas and NumPy

Experience working with unstructured data

Familiarity with data quality concepts

Experience with Git Source Control System

Education

Master’s degree in computer science

Bachelor’s degree in computer science

5+ years of experience in relevant programs

7+ years of experience in SWE roles
