Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating complex processes.
  • Hands-on experience as an Automation Engineer.
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Good understanding of programming languages: Java, JavaScript and Python.
  • Extensive experience in automation tools & frameworks: Maven, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Karate, Postman, Apigee.
  • Extensive experience working in a collaborative environment (GitLab, GitHub).
  • Extensive experience in agile tools (Jira, PractiTest, AI-powered development).
  • Experience mentoring and cross-training with engineers newer to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Test, create, implement automations across moderately complex systems.
  • Draft comprehensive test plans and test cases; coordinate test data needs.
  • Write documentation describing automation capabilities and operating procedures.
