Job summary

GRVTY is seeking experienced Software Engineers with backend Java experience to build scalable REST APIs and services in Linux/Unix environments, based in Maryland. The role requires 7+ years of backend Java development, strong Java/JVM and API design skills, and DevOps familiarity with AWS and container tech.

You will work in an Agile team, participate in code reviews, and contribute to distributed systems, CI/CD, and automated testing. A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend Java development (14+ years overall).
• Strong Java/JVM, REST APIs, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, relational database, Git, and Linux/Unix skills.
• Agile team experience with code reviews, debugging and collaboration.
• Backend architecture, distributed systems, API design, CI/CD, automated testing, TDD, NoSQL or frontend exposure.
• DevOps experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes or scripting.
• Experience supporting fast-paced client solutions and long-term growth.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
